Heaven or Hell? God's Way or Your Way?

Don't believe Satan's lie that there is more than one way of salvation.

The Bible tells us that there is only one way of salvation:

John 14:6 says: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. All other supposed 'ways of salvation' offered by non-Christian cults and religions come from Satan and lead only to Hell.

Galatians 1:8 says: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

Satan wants you to believe that human 'good works' are enough to get you into Heaven. Don't believe this, because when you do so you fall into Satan's trap and are headed for Hell.

2010: Yearly Missionary Report

IN 2010 WE SAW OVER 150 PEOPLE SAVED !
TO GOD ALONE BE THE GLORY !

Dear friend in Christ,

I would like to thank you so much indeed for your very kind prayerful and financial support of our missionary work during 2010. This has been one of our best years ever in terms of ministry work. We have seen many people reached with the gospel. We have seen souls saved and firmly rooted in their Christian walk.

We have seen drug addicts reached for Christ. We have seen missionary works and projects that we support flourish. We have also been able to freely distribute literally thousands of evangelistic resources (including booklets, CDs and DVDs).

As 2010 comes to an end, we would like to do two things. Firstly, we would like to send a large donation to our church-planting missionary and evangelist in India who works amongst the slum children and has seen over 150 people won to Christ over the last 12 months. You can see photos of this missionary work on our website by clicking here.

Secondly, we would like to purchase some desperately needed new equipment in order to meet our ministry’s ever-increasing computer and printing needs.

If every one of our supporters could send us a gift of £ 10, then we would definitely be able to accomplish both of these vitally important objectives. We will send a free CD and booklet to everyone who gives us a gift of any size, large or small. The CD in question is a very powerful message that the Lord enabled me to preach shortly after the death of one of my babies. The booklet, written by R.A. Torrey, is about prayer and revival.

I'm delighted to be able to announce that an informal get-together for evangelical Christians in and around the County Antrim area who home educate their children using the ACE curriculum was set up some time ago and now has its own fully functioning website.

We are incredibly thankful to God for the many families that have already come on board and for all of the support that we have received from many others who unfortunately were not located anywhere near our local catchment area.

Ever since the very beginning, when the vision for this group was first birthed, we have all been very conscious indeed of the Lord's enabling as He has miraculously over-ruled in every circumstance and opened one door after another.

We claim the promises of Revelation 3:8: "I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name."

God's work, with God's blessing upon those who are truly His children, will always come to strength and victory - all glory be to Him, and Him alone.

P.S. whilst we have been highly honoured of the Lord to have been able to help set this group up, it does not come under our ministry in any way, neither is it controlled by our ministry - it is fully autonomous and independent in its own right.

A Great Time at the Bethnal Green Toy Museum

Anyone, especially Christian home schooling families, looking for a good day out may wish to visit Bethnal Green Toy Museum (now renamed the 'Museum of Childhood).

Our family did and we had a great time. Our little boy Justyn loved it, especially looking at all of the exciting toys from yesteryear (a more innocent time when children were children).

It is an absolutely amazing experience that will fascinate the whole family.

A Great Time at Chester Zoo

Anyone, especially Christian home schooling families looking for a good day out may wish to visit Chester Zoo. Our family did and we had a great time. Our little boy Justyn loved it.

A few pointers - be prepared for the (in our opinion) rather steep admission charges, bring a picnic and give yourselves a whole day at it (so that you can get round all of the different animals).

Everything that we saw was a reminder of how amazing our Creator God is, from Gen 1:1 onwards.

A Short Bible Study on Galatians

'The Epistles to the Galatians', whilst written to the churches of Galatia, has much to teach both Christians and the unsaved.

No single 'church' is addressed, only 'churches' (Gal 1:2). No specific person is referred to as a 'saint' (Eph 1:1) or as being 'in God' (1 Thess 1:1) or as being 'of God' (1 Cor 1:2) - therefore there are verses in Galatians that can refer to lost people, as well as saved people (this is very important, see Gal 3:4 and Gal 5:4).

The book of Romans teaches that we 'are saved' by faith, plus nothing. Whereas, the book of Galatians teaches that we 'stay saved' by faith, plus nothing (Acts 15:1-5).

The word 'religion' appears 5 times in Galatians - in Scripture, the number '5' can symbolise 'death'. This shows that there is a big difference between merely 'being religious' and 'being a Christian'.

Gal 3:8 shows us that 'justification' is an immediate act of God - it is not (and does not include) religious observance, baptism or not good works.

A Short Bible Study on 'Sin'

Consider how many times the following words appear in the Bible:

'Sin' - 391 times
'Sins' - 166 times
'Sinner' - 21 times
'Iniquity' - 262 times
'Iniquities' - 55 times
'Transgress' - 14 times
'Transgressions' - 47 times
'Rebel' - 14 times
'Rebellion' - 9 times
'Evil' - 569 times
'Wicked' - 329 times

The above information shows us that we live in a wicked world that hates God and His Word. The great news however is that God is the answer, the gospel is the answer and the Word of God is the answer.

Proverbs 14:12 tells us that:

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

There is a world out there full of people, both religious and non-religious, who are lost and on their way to Hell. They are unsaved and they need to be reached with the truth about the gospel and salvation. Christian, do you love them enough to witness to them and tell them the truth?

Never Stop Expecting from God in Prayer

The great puritan theologian Richard Sibbes said the following regarding prayer: "When we shoot an arrow, we look to the fall of it; when we send a ship to sea, we look for its return; and when we sow seed, we look for a harvest; so likewise when we sow our prayers, through Christ, in God's bosom, shall we not look for an answer."

Matthew 7:7 says: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

James 4:2 says: "ye have not, because ye ask not".

Let us take heart, be encouraged and continue to pray in expectancy for God's perfect will to be done in our lives, our families, our ministries and our churches.

Never Forget What Christ Did For Us

Isaiah 53:3-4 says: "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted."

Don't Be a Critic, Be An Overcomer

The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, and comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; who does actually try to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion and spends himself in a worthy cause; who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly."

"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."

Moving on With the Lord

The Christian life should always be one of progress. We should always be improving and striving for excellence in every area of our lives. Always remember that when you stop moving forwards in the Christian life, you automatically begin to move backwards. There is no such thing in the Christian life as standing still - you are either moving forward or moving backwards.

The Unconditional Love of God

God is Love, and His love is very different from human love. God's love is unconditional, and it's not based on feelings or emotions. He doesn't love us because we're lovable or because we make Him feel good; He loves us because He is love. He created us to have a loving relationship with Him, and He sacrificed His own Son (who also willingly died for us) to restore that relationship.

We Need to be Gracious

We Need to be Encouraging

The Bond of the Spirit Amongst God's Remnant People

Words of blessing from the ministry of J.C. Ryle, describing the bond of the Spirit amongst God's remnant people:

"Who, indeed, can describe the pleasure with which the members of Christ's flock do meet each other face to face? They may have been strangers before. They may have lived apart and never been in company; but it is wonderful to observe how soon they seem to understand each other. There seems a thorough oneness of opinion, taste, and judgement; so that a man would think they had known each other for years. They seem, indeed, to feel they are servants of one and the same Master, members of the same family, and have been converted by one and the same Spirit. They have one Lord, one faith, one baptism. They have the same trials, the same fears, the same doubts, the same temptations, the same faintings of heart, the same dread of sin, the same sense of unworthiness, the same love of their Saviour. Oh, but there is a mystical union between true believers, which they only know who have experienced it. The world cannot understand it - it is all foolishness to them. But that union does really exist, and a most blessed thing it is; for it is like a little foretaste of Heaven."

"Beloved, this loving to be together is a special mark of Christ's flock - nor is it strange, if we consider they are walking in the same narrow way and fighting against the same deadly enemies - and never are they so happy as when they are in company. The unconverted know nothing of such happiness."

Extolling the importance of love between Christians, Hugh Binning said:

"It is foretold by our Lord Jesus Christ that in the last days the 'love of many shall wax cold' (Matt 24:12). Truly, this is the sympton of a decaying, fading Christian and church. Love is the vital spirits of a Christian, which are the principles of all motion and lively operation. When there is a failure in these, the soul is in decay. It is so comprehensive an evil, as alone is sufficient to make an evil time. Besides, it is the argument and evidence, as well as the root and fountain, of abounding iniquity because this is the epidemical disease of the present time: love cooled and passion heated. From these proceed all the feverish distempers, contentions, wars, and divisions that have brought the church of God near to expiring. Therefore, being mindful of the Apostle (Hebrews 10:24), I would think it pertinent to consider one another and provoke again unto love and to good works."

Agreeing with these sentiments, John Owen says:

Fellow Christians should be "as certain and evident an object of our love, as if we saw them lying in the arms of Christ."

Thomas Watson, the 'JC Ryle of the Puritans', hit the nail on the head when he said:

"How Christians reproach, censure, and malign one another! The text says 'love fervently', but they 'hate fervently'. Instead of the bond of love, behold the apple of strife! We live in a frigid zone when 'the love of many waxeth cold".

Watson also said: "Oh Christians! Turn your hot words into salt tears! How do the enemies of religion insult us to see not only Christ's coat, but also His body rent. For these things let our eyes run down."

We need a revival of love in our fundamentalist churches. The first way in which a fundamentalist church begins to go apostate is when it loses its love. It is time to stop merely 'going to church' or 'playing church' - it is time for us to 'be the church'.

Let the church be the church,
Let the people rejoice.
For we've settled the question,
We've made our choice.
Let the anthemns ring out,
Songs of victory swell.
For the church triumphant,
Is alive and well

As Watson says: "Let us turn all our censuring into prayer. Let us pray to God that He would quench the fire of contention and increase the fire of fraternal love among us. Let us pray that the Lord would heal our schisms and repair our breaches, that He would make us like the cherubim with our faces looking one upon another."

C.H. Spurgeon on 'Continuing in Prayer'

"Continue in prayer." - Colossians 4:2

It is interesting to remark how large a portion of Sacred Writ is occupied with the subject of prayer, either in furnishing examples, enforcing precepts, or pronouncing promises. We scarcely open the Bible before we read, "Then began men to call upon the name of the Lord;" and just as we are about to close the volume, the "Amen" of an earnest supplication meets our ear.

Instances are plentiful. Here we find a wrestling Jacob - there a Daniel who prayed three times a day - and a David who with all his heart called upon his God. On the mountain we see Elias; in the dungeon Paul and Silas.

What does this teach us, but the sacred importance and necessity of prayer? We may be certain that whatever God has made prominent in His Word, He intended to be conspicuous in our lives. If He has said much about prayer, it is because He knows we have much need of it. So deep are our necessities, that until we are in heaven we must not cease to pray. Dost thou want nothing? Then, I fear thou dost not know thy poverty. Hast thou no mercy to ask of God? Then, may the Lord's mercy show thee thy misery!

A prayerless soul is a Christless soul. Prayer is the lisping of the believing infant, the shout of the fighting believer, the requiem of the dying saint falling asleep in Jesus. It is the breath, the watchword, the comfort, the strength, the honour of a Christian. If thou be a child of God, thou wilt seek thy Father's face, and live in thy Father's love.

Pray that this year thou mayst be holy, humble, zealous, and patient; have closer communion with Christ, and enter oftener into the banqueting-house of His love. Pray that thou mayst be an example and a blessing unto others, and that thou mayst live more to the glory of thy Master. The motto for this year must be, "Continue in prayer."

5 Children Saved - to God be all the praise, honour and glory

The Lord has truly blessed us in a mighty way.

We didn't feel like going round the doors this Sunday afternoon, but we went ahead and did so anyway - trusting God to go with us and bring in the harvest.

We have been praying for lots of children to come to the church and for more people to be saved........then, on Sunday, whilst going door-to-door and conducting outreach on one of our local estates, my husband and I had the joy of witnessing to some children.

As we listened and spoke with them, we could sense that the Lord had clearly been working upon their hearts and minds.

In addition, they had been to a number of evangelical Sunday schools and children's missions where Christians had taken the time and love to witness to them and share the truth about Jesus Christ.

We thank God for the faithfulness of these Christians whom we may never meet. We don't know who they were and they'll probably never know that these precious children, whom they took the time and care to witness to, got saved. They may never know just how much the Lord was using them, but He did - and what a mighty way He used them! He used them to bring about the greatest change possible in these children's lives - from traveling along the road to Hell to journeying along the road to Heaven. Wherever they go in life and regardless of what church the Lord leads them to, they are now His children and remain so forever.

In the open air, 4 of them indicated a desire to be saved and we're led to the Lord Jesus Christ by my husband. I led another girl to the Lord at the Sunday evening service.

My little boy Justyn is just thrilled to have all of these new children at Sunday School to play with - they were an answer to his prayers also.

Praise God, these are the happiest days of our lives. This is what it is all about. At times like this, you realise more than ever that it is worth it all.

We pray that God will continue to pour out His abundant blessings upon our church, and every other Bible-believing evangelical church, in the months and years ahead.
